According to on-chain data, the Shark Tank star’s Ethereum wallet has 115 altcoins ranging from leading altcoins to relatively unknown.
The assets in the wallet do not mean that Cuban has invested in all 115 projects. Many of the altcoins in his wallet may have been sent to the Ethereum address by notable projects.
With as little as $1,500 in Ethereum, the wallet also holds over $7,000 in Swaprol Tokens (SWPRL) and just under $4,000 in controversial HEX (HEX) tokens that pay reward holders rather than miners.
Crypto20 (C20) and B2U Coin (B2U), on the other hand, seem to have a relatively large share of $3,021 and $1,092, respectively. The remaining funds are dispersed in small amounts among the other 110 altcoins.
Two altcoins with clearer ties to Cuban are the Ethereum second-layer scaling solution Polygon (MATIC) and the Ethereum-based decentralized trading platform Injective Protocol (INJ). These are two of a number of blockchain projects listed on Cuban’s website.
Cuban has become a strong advocate of the cryptocurrency space. He sees the potential of blockchain technology to revolutionize transparency and reliability in data-driven industries. Last week, dClimate CEO Sid Jha announced that Cuban has invested in dClimate, a decentralized network for climate data.
Cuban’s portfolio came to light after publishing an NFT on the decentralized NFT marketplace Rarible in January. While the wallet at that time mostly included the lending protocol Aave, there were also various decentralized finance (DeFi) projects. Since then, Cuban has nearly emptied the same wallet. Its total open assets are currently valued at $22,860.55.
