BRSA Vice President Muhammet Mustafa Cerit noted that crypto assets first came to the agenda of the BRSA in 2013 and used the following statements:

“Crypto-assets first entered the BRSA’s agenda in 2013. We did not allow banks to provide brokerage services as there is no regulation in the crypto asset space.

We did not give intermediary approval to banks in order not to create actual approval. Our banks are eager to serve on crypto assets. There is no obstacle in the flow of money to crypto platforms in banks”
